Wood Species
The Foundation of Your Design.
The wood you choose sets the tone for your entire project.
Each species has a unique grain pattern, color, and character that will respond differently to stains and finishes. Whether you desire the timeless beauty of cherry or the bold grain of oak, we work with a wide selection of premium woods to create the perfect look and feel.

Alder
Alder's fresh, creamy-white appearance matures into a warm, reddish hue, making it a beautiful, more affordable alternative to traditional cherry wood cabinets. This soft and subtle grain pattern gives your custom cabinetry a rich, elegant feel that's perfect for a variety of styles. Because its sapwood and heartwood are so similar, alder provides a consistent color foundation for your dream kitchen.

Ash
Our selected ash features a lovely range of creamy to light brown tones. The bold, distinct grain patterns are similar in appearance to oak, but with a unique character all its own. This hardwood cabinetry option is incredibly versatile, taking on both light and dark finishes beautifully. We meticulously arrange cuts to create a seamless blend of grain matching and color tones, ensuring a sophisticated and cohesive look for your space.
Birch (Paper White)
Known for its fine, uniform texture, paper white birch is a durable and beautiful choice for any project. A great option for hardwood cabinetry, this species has a density similar to hard maple and offers a uniform, clean white color, making it an excellent base for consistent staining. Its ability to machine well allows our craftsmen to create a flawless finish on your custom cabinets, providing a clean and contemporary look.

Cherry
Cherry is a timeless classic for a reason. This prized hardwood naturally deepens into a rich, reddish-brown patina over time, giving your cabinetry a warm and inviting feel. While some sapwood and small gum pockets are a natural characteristic that adds to its charm, we expertly match the color and grain to create a cohesive and elegant look. Our custom cherry cabinets are a truly beautiful addition to any home, aging gracefully with you.

Eucalyptus
Looking for a high-quality hardwood with a unique story? Our eucalyptus is sustainably grown on plantations, offering a gorgeous alternative to mahogany. Its uniform grain patterns and hints of orange to light brown tones make it a stunning choice for contemporary designs. This durable option for hardwood cabinetry has the rich appearance of mahogany but with a consistent grain that works beautifully for custom projects, offering both style and sustainability.

Hickory
If you're looking for a cabinet that makes a statement, hickory is an excellent choice. With its coarse grain and striking color contrasts, hickory provides a look full of natural character. While it's known for its incredible strength and durability, our craftsmen are experts at working with this beautiful wood. We carefully select each piece to create a blended look of heartwood and sapwood, resulting in rustic hickory cabinets that are truly one-of-a-kind.

Mahogany, African
Mahogany offers a truly luxurious and classic look for your custom cabinetry. Its heartwood matures from a pinkish-brown to a deep reddish-brown, while its grain patterns can vary from straight to interlocked, giving each piece a unique character. Given the natural variations in this hardwood, we celebrate the unique color and grain patterns, resulting in mahogany kitchen cabinets that are rich with personality.

Maple, Hard/Soft
Maple is the ideal choice for a clean and subtle aesthetic. The hard maple we use is very light in color with fine grain patterns that create a smooth, sophisticated look. While soft maple resembles its hard counterpart, it offers a bit more color variation. We are skilled at working with both varieties to create stunning maple kitchen cabinetry that can be finished to highlight the natural wood or serve as a pristine canvas for paint.

Maple, Paint-grade
When your vision calls for a flawless, painted finish, our paint-grade maple is the perfect solution. This wood is a blend of hard and soft maple, chosen specifically for its ideal surface for paint applications. Its variety of natural color tones from creamy white to brown and gray are not a concern, as this wood is strictly used for paint, ensuring a smooth and consistent base for your project.

Oak, Red/White
Oak is a timeless and enduring choice for custom cabinetry, celebrated for its durability and distinct, coarse grain. Our red oak offers a warm, reddish-brown hue, while white oak provides a range of light to dark brown tones. Both are beautiful and versatile options that lend a classic, authentic feel to any space, and our oak cabinets are built to last for generations.

Pine, Natural
For a unique, rustic feel, natural pine is a beautiful choice. The wood's yellowish-white color tones and limited amount of tight knots give it a cozy, inviting feel. Pine readily absorbs stains, making it an excellent choice for a variety of finishes, from light to dark. This soft wood is perfect for creating a classic, farmhouse-style aesthetic.

Sapele
Sapele is a magnificent mahogany relative, perfect for both interior and exterior applications. Its heartwood ranges from golden to a rich mahogany color and deepens over time, creating a beautiful, aged look. The wood boasts a variety of grain patterns, adding visual interest and depth to your hardwood cabinetry.
